The Ramon Rocha 5K Run/Walk is a fun road race for all ages and experience levels in the historic Village of Geneseo, NY. The race is named in memory of Arc Board of Directors member Dr. Ramon Rocha, who passionately believed in the possibilities of life, and has been an endless source of inspiration for people of all ages and abilities. It is with honor that we walk – and run – in his footsteps.

LCHS Program: Shaw Sisters and Women’s Suffrage @ Livingston County Historical Society and Museum

Livingston County Historian Amie Alden will present on the Shaw Sisters who were two major agents in both the Suffrage and Temperance Movements of the 20th century. Recently, a historical marker was erected in front of their former home at 22 Main St, Geneseo. Come hear their story in the year of the hundredth anniversary of women’s right to vote.

LCHS Program: Seeking the Story of the Groveland Shakers @ Livingston County Historical Society and Museum
Oct 20 @ 1:30 pm

Come learn the history of the Groveland Shaker religious community (1826 – 1892), who resided on the land where the Groveland Correctional Facility now stands. Fran Kramer is a historian who has long been researching and teaching about the Sodus/Groveland Shakers.
