Memorial Day Observed: Ceremony in Geneseo @ Village Park & Main Street
May 27 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Memorial-DayParade begins from the Village Park at 10:30 AM

Procession forms at 10:00 AM

The “Line of March” will be north on Main Street to the Civil War Monument (near St. Mary’s Church and the Court House), and return following services, to the Village Park. A ceremony will be held at the Village Park following the parade.

Are you interested in learning the basics of this beautiful art medium? Join us for this four-week workshop (May 14, 21, 28 and June 4) guided by Lisa Robinson. For adults and teens age 16+.  Registration required.  Please call 243-0440 or stop in the library to sign-up.

This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Genesee Valley Council on the Arts.

Friends of Wadsworth Library Annual Meeting & Performance by “The Geriactors” @ Wadsworth Library

Popular local senior theater troupe The Geriactors will perform a program of songs and original sketches at the Friends of Wadsworth Library Annual Meeting. 

The program will also include a brief awards ceremony to honor library volunteers and an opportunity to socialize. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Funded by annual membership dues and fundraising activities, Friends of Wadsworth Library is a not-for-profit organization that financially supports library programs, special materials, and equipment not covered by the library’s annual operating budget.

LCHS Program: The History of Salt Mining @ Livingston County Historical Society and Museum

Explore the history of Livingston County through the story of one of the world’s most important minerals. Co-founder and co-CEO of American Rock Salt, Joe Bucci, Sr. hails proudly from a long line of salt miners. As recent Italian immigrants to America, the early Bucci family, along with many other Italian families that resided in Retsof, made their living on salt, utilizing the opportunity for labor provided by the Western New York salt mines.
• Additional parking available in church lot next door.
• Free and open to the public.
