Do you have a passion for writing and enjoy sharing with others? Join us for this special writing group at Wadsworth Library. Participants will write and share memoirs, poetry, or original stories with a supportive learning community of fellow writers. 2020 sessions begin Saturday, January 25.  Workshops are held every other Saturday of the month from 10:15 AM – 12:30 PM. This program is best for adults. Registration required! Space is limited!

Tech Tutor Help @ Wadsworth Library

This program is funded by a Workforce Development Grant from Pioneer Library System awarded to Livingston County Libraries.

Winter Storytime Programs: Books & Babies @ Wadsworth Library

Books & Babies is a lap-sit program designed to introduce children (6 months – 2 years of age) to language and early literacy. Babies sit with their caregivers and model the activities presented through simple finger plays, songs, stories and nursery rhymes. Registration is required and is open now.

Synopsis: A documentary telling the story of a transgender Filipina woman who is found dead in a motel room and the leading suspect is a U.S. Marine. Following this is a firestorm of grassroots activism demanding accountability. The ensuing case lays bare political tensions between the United States and the Philippines.

Winter Sensory Play Days @ Wadsworth Library

Children of all abilities and ages need and benefit from sensory-based play. During this program children will move through different sensory stations with their caregiver – an arctic water bead sensory bin, kinetic sand station, large play blocks and more!. This program is open to any child birth – age 5. Registration is not required.

Geneseo String Band Pre-Saint Patrick’s Day Concert @ Wadsworth Auditorium at SUNY Geneseo

Music and Dance in the Celtic Tradition

The Geneseo String Band, under the direction of James Kimball, will give its annual Pre-Saint Patrick’s Day Concert – Saturday, March 7, at 7:00 PM in Wadsworth Auditorium on the SUNY Geneseo campus. 

This is a program of mostly Irish music and dance, performed by the Geneseo String Band with SUNY Geneseo’s Sláinte Irish Dancers, and guest musicians, singers and dancers from Rochester’s very musical Irish community.

Guest performers will include the Drumcliffe Dancers, Ted McGraw, Brian Clancy, Mary Lester, John Ryan, Bill Henrie, Adie Maher, uilleann piper Tim Benson, Mitzie Collins, John Heyer and more.

General Admission $10.00; seniors and Geneseo students $5.00; 12 and under free. Tickets available (cash please) at the door only.
