Friends of Wadsworth Library Annual Book Sale @ Wadsworth Library

Come browse a universe of stories for all ages at Wadsworth Library’s popular annual book sale. Great selection, reasonable prices. Load up on summer fun at this community favorite.

Paperbacks – $1
Hardcovers – $2

Friends of Wadsworth Library will hold its annual book sale from 8:00am until 2:30pm Saturday, July 13 at the library, 24 Center Street in Geneseo. Proceeds will benefit library programs and projects.

The sale will feature a large selection of popular and specialty paperback and hardcover books. The event is free and open to the public.

Those interested in early access to the books may visit the library between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Friday, July 12 for a members-only preview sale. While the preview sale is open only to members of Friends of Wadsworth Library, memberships will be available for purchase.

Annual Friends memberships start at $25 for individuals, or $10 for students or seniors age 62 or older. Friends of Wadsworth Library is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

Song & Dance Around the Planet @ Wadsworth Library

Dance to, sing along with, and experience traditional and folk music from cultures across the world! International jazz multi-instrumentalist Sagit Zilberman will perform an interactive global music program for families and children. Open to children 4 and up.

This event is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature administered by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts at the Livingston Arts Center, a member-supported organization.

Summer Storytime: Sing, Sign, and Play @ Wadsworth Library

July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and August 6

This six-week session is recommended for babies 6-24 months old and their caregivers. Each class is 30 minutes long and has a weekly theme. We will use music, books, and playful activities to help hearing babies and adults learn simple ASL signs while having fun. This class will be led by certified Baby Signing Time instructor Linda Schmackpfeffer. Registration is required. Sign-up begins June 1st. Sponsored by Friends of Wadsworth Library.

Rainbow Tile Craft for Teens! @ Wadsworth Library

Make beautiful rainbow tile art at the library! We’ll use alcohol inks to create a cool tie-dye or marbled effect. All materials will be provided.

Blast off with Commander Dave (aka Moreland the Magician) on a fun voyage through outer space in his high-energy 45-minute show. Moreland’s show is packed with magic, comedy, puppets, audience participation, and several routines featuring volunteers from the audience.
