Oktoberfest @ Deer Run Winery

Deer Run Winery will host an Oktoberfest this Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with live music provided by The Frankfurters, Western NY’s most popular German Band since 1982! German-style concessions will be available from Red Osier.  Deer Run Winery will have wine, wine slushies, and locally brewed beers available for sale!  Admission is free and all are welcome!!    We hope to see you!  Wir hoffen, Sie zu sehen!

Please join the Geneseo Symphony Orchestra in their program of “Unfinished” music including the Symphony No. 8 by Franz Schubert, Edvard Grieg’s *Peer Gynt Suite No. 1*, and Johannes Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture. The ensemble will also be premiering *Scamper (for Orchestra) *written by former conductor and Distinguished Service Professor of Music, James Walker!

Geneseo Wind Ensemble @ Wadsworth Auditorium at SUNY Geneseo

Please join the Geneseo Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Leah McGray.

The Geneseo Wind Ensemble is proud to be partnering with Fairport High School for their first concert of the season. “Transforming Waters” is the program that features the transforming properties of music and the natural elements, including the combined bands performing high energy works by contemporary composers John Mackey and Benjamin Dean Taylor. The Wind Ensemble will be giving the New York premier performance of the emerging Toronto composer, Cait Nishimura’s evocative *Lake Superior Suite. 

The concert is free and open to the public.
