Bluebell Hikes @ Bridge on Nations Road
May 12 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Bluebell hikes begin at 10 AM (about 10-12) and again at 2 PM (about 2-4). If driving please park on north roadside near the bridge on Nations Road, and be sure to carpool if possible.

This 3.5 mile round-trip walk takes place on trails that will be muddy and includes hiking through fields and over uneven surfaces.  The hike features working agricultural fields and a forest along the Genesee River that is host to a spectacular sea of Common Bluebell flowers.  The walk will take between 1.5 and 2 hours. Please carpool, wear boots, arrive early (this is a VERY popular hike and we leave promptly), and bring $5 for a bluebell print raffle (1 for $5, 3 for $10).

Because we are on private property and will have large numbers, we will need everyone to sign in and travel as a group. Each hike will depart rain or shine. There is no transportation available.  Participants must be able to complete the round trip.

The hikes take place on the protected Culvert Farm.  Please help us continue this event by only visiting with us during these scheduled times.

*Event supported by Steuben Trust Company
*Stay tuned for updates as we watch the spring growth and monitor trail conditions!

Geneseo Summer Concert Series – Bob’s Brother’s Band @ Geneseo Village Park
Jun 21 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The Eleventh Annual Geneseo Summer Concert Series is being presented to provide musical entertainment to the Geneseo Community at no cost to those attending. We are building on the success of past seasons, which contributed to the lifestyle of our community, as well as bringing people to our downtown area during a traditionally quiet time of the year. The series will begin on Friday June 21st, 2019 in the Village Park from 7 – 9 PM. The remaining concerts will be on consecutive Fridays, with the final concert on August 30th. Each performance will be from 7-9 PM in the Village Park. Food & Drinks from the Café Shiloh are available in the Park. New restrooms in the park are open.

Bob’s Brother’s Band started inconspicuously in August of 2004. While planning for the 2004 Avon Corn Festival, someone mentioned that Bob’s brother had a band that could fill one of the slots at the festival. That left it up to John Barrett (Bob’s brother) to gather some musicians and play at the festival. John doesn’t let little things like not actually having a band prevent him from taking the gig. John loves to play! The inaugural gig included John, Paul, Don, and Dave, with Kyle Leonard on guitar and vocals, and Jared Hobbs on drums. Since that time the band has been having a great time entertaining crowds with their own flavor of classic rock and soul. In addition to having a great time playing music, the band is also involved in a variety of community service efforts.
