The Lies We Tell About God @ St. Michael's Episcopal Church
May 30 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

A Two-Part Discussion Session on Kate Bowler’s New York Times Best Seller, “Everything Happens for a Reason, and Other Lies I’ve Loved.”
• Wednesday, May 30, Part I: Facing Suffering and Death with Honesty
• Wednesday, June 13, Part II: What to do and What NOT to say

Fr. Daniel will lead a discussion addressing suffering and death, the pithy ways we attempt to evade both, as well as the many ways we minimize the suffering of others in our obsessions with our own suffering. This is not a conversation for the weak-hearted, but a conversation for all who desire to become more honest in how we face our own mortality and faithfully care and respect the mortality of others.
