• Dr. Willard Harman, CLM, Professor of Biology, SUNY Oneonta Distinguished Service Professor & Director of Biological Field Station. Dr. Harman will define a watershed and discuss how land use and cover impact lakes like ours and how nutrient flows lead to excessive and unwanted plant growth. He will also share numerous best management practices that all of us can put into practice.
• Heather Ferrero, Deputy Director, Livingston County Planning Department Conesus Lake Watershed Management
• Emily Staychock, Watershed Educator, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Yates Cty. The Impact & Mitigation of Non-point Source Pollution in a Watershed. Emily will also use a watershed model to demonstrate how human impact causes runoff pollution and erosion.
