Archangel Concert Series: Maven Quartet @ St. Michael's Episcopal Church
Jul 21 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

A Chamber Quartet Featuring: Ubeeng Kueq (piano), John Shin (Violin), Joshua Lohner (Viola), and Jessika Soli (Cello). The Maven Quartet is comprised of pianist Ubeeng Kueq, violinist John Shin, violist Joshua Lohner, and cellist Jessika Soli. The ensemble of friends first collaborated as part of their studies at the University of Utah, and have since continued to other professional and educational opportunities. Now, graduates of the University of Utah, Indiana University, and Eastman School of Music, they perform with ensembles including the Utah Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Harrisburg Symphony, and the Rosin Cello Duo.

This summer, the quartet will be featuring a program of some of the most beloved music of the genre. Experience everything from the transcendently beautiful melodies of Mozart, to the matchless excitement that results when Brahms meets the influence of the Romany musical tradition. Composers have loved exploring the unique sound possibilities that the piano quartet offers. There is something for everyone.
